Choosing well
Combination product or single nutrient? A decision guide
In front of the shelf, two paths are open. One is: one product, many nutrients. The other: one product, one nutrient, but precisely dosed. Both have their place, and the decision depends less on the product than on your starting point.
The case for combinations
One portion, several nutrients, one step a day. That's the biggest practical advantage, and it shouldn't be underestimated: the fewer individual products, the greater the chance that you actually stick to the routine.
Then there's the price per day, which for a combination product is usually lower than the sum of several individual products. In our range, most drink shots are complexes, as are the multivitamin effervescent tablets. You'll find them all under Multi-nutrient products.
The case for single nutrients
If you want to supplement one specific nutrient, a single-nutrient product is more precise. You can choose the amount exactly, and nothing comes along that you don't need.
This is especially relevant if you already take something. Two products that both contain zinc add up to an amount that neither pack tells you – you have to do the maths yourself.
Three questions that shorten the decision
Are you already taking something? If so, it's worth checking the labels of both products. Overlaps are the most common reason to go for a single-nutrient product after all.
How many packs do you want in your cupboard? If you're honest with yourself, you know when it becomes too many.
Are you after one specific nutrient or a basic supply? This question usually answers the choice by itself.
What applies in both cases
What counts is the recommended daily dose on the pack. It must not be exceeded, and it applies per product – not per nutrient. If you combine several products, keep an eye on your total intake. If in doubt, a conversation at the pharmacy or with your doctor is the quickest way to a reliable answer.
You'll find our range sorted by individual nutrient under By ingredient.
Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dose.
